DURATION

2018-2019

The Macquarie Fields Open Space Corridor master plan was commissioned by Campbelltown City Council in 2018. EP lead a collaborative team to develop a multi-layered plan for revitalising a significant open space corridor.

The corridor master plan seeks to recognise the changes that future urban densities and forms will create in the area and the evolving pressures on open space and natural systems.

The plan sets out a new strategy for recreational activities across the corridor to generate greater distribution of use across the week and seasons by improving the balance of organised sports and informal recreational activities.  Fundamentally the master plan identifies a linking corridor for pedestrian and cycle access. A link that provides environmental comfort and safely links users and neighbourhoods from the railway to the Georges River corridor.
