We are really excited that McIlwaine Park has been included in the final list of nominees for PLA’s NSW/ACT Park of the Year!

This important foreshore park provides an inclusive destination for the growing population of Rhodes, engaging the community with the river and its changing characters, while actively contributing the health of the river’s marine environment.

The activated water’s edge provides new connections to the river with the flexibility to adapt to a future swim site as water quality improves.

The Coronation StrEAT event space was officially opened by the Mayor of Hornsby on Friday night.

It was great to see this exciting space up and running for the public and what a way to launch it.

Congratulations to the City of Canada Bay for putting on an amazing open day on the weekend it was so great to see so many people enjoying the park.

McIlwaine Park’s biophilic focused design allows

McIlwaine Park’s biophilic focused design allows the user to feel emersed in the natural surroundings of Brays Bay. It gives the visitor an up close and personal interaction with the bay, it’s water movements and marine life. Originally flagged as a potential swim site for the Parramatta River this project has strived to connect people to the waters edge. When the ongoing challenges of water quality precluded for the medium term future the inclusion of swimming opportunities, the design focused in on maintaining the water connection in a diverse number of ways. The design maintains flexibility which will allow adaption into a future swim site as the river water quality improves further.

The park also contributes to improving the health of the bay by providing protective habitat at the water’s edge. By transforming a 107m section of the original 1970s seawall into a natural informal character, the rockpools, salt marsh and living seawall tiles, integrated into the intertidal zone, encourage a diversity of marine life to help strengthen the rivers ecosystem.

We are thrilled to announce that Putney Hill has won a Landscape Architecture Award for Urban Design at the 2021 AILA NSW Awards.

Putney Hill is a major residential development in Sydney's North West. Environmental Partnership was part of the multidisciplinary team for the project for @fraserspropertyaus with our role including landscape strategy development, master planning and landscape design for this complex steeply sloping site.

The new residential precinct provides a range of housing including detached houses, town houses, and multi residential apartment development. Planning was informed by the topography and drainage of the site and the range of important existing trees which have been integrated into the new park system. The project has also been a focus benchmark for the government architects medium density guidelines.

We are excited to announce that Environmental Partnership with our partners TTW have won the Detailed Design for Westleigh Park Hornsby.

We look forward to continuing our work with Hornsby Shire council on this brownfield site after preparing the masterplan in 2018. The masterplan creates a sustainable direction for community use, with district significant organised sports facilities, passive
recreation, mountain biking and ancillary facilities along with extensive habitat and water management initiatives.
